With that comparison, they questioned the legitimacy of the registration of the CAG in HK. Prof. Massimo Introvigne, an Italian sociologist, the founder and managing director of the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), makes comment on this.

  On October 1, 2017, the three-day Christian Family Film Festival in Ellington, New York came to a close. The full human rights documentary produced by The Church of Almighty God, Chronicles of Religious Persecution in China, stood out from the crowd among a number of the films shown, winning the silver medal. This documentary, a true account of the Chinese Communist government’s wanton violations of human rights and brutal murders of Christians, provides international society with a deeper understanding of the inside story of the Chinese government’s oppression of religious faith, offering detailed and powerful evidence. The film has received widespread attention and praise since its release.

As an important platform for the promotion of mutual understanding and exchanges between Christian filmmakers, the Christian Family Film Festival attracts submissions of hundreds of film and television works. In this year’s film festival, 28 excellent submissions were selected, with films from many countries including England, the US, France, Korea, and Bulgaria. On par with many professionally produced full films, Chronicles of Religious Persecution in China overcame the festival judges with its profound significance. When the representative from The Church of Almighty God accepted the silver medal awarded by the festival organizers, the following testimonial was her acceptance speech.

By recreating the actual experiences of Christians who have been brutally persecuted by the Chinese Communist government, even to the death, as well as its cruel oppression of Christian families and their tragedies of deaths and broken homes, Chronicles of Religious Persecution in China deeply exposes the true plight of power trumping law in China ruled by the Chinese Communist Party. The policy of freedom of religion is nothing but a lie, a story. The Chinese Communist government wantonly tramples on the law and has utter disregard for human life.
